Overview:

The Center for AI Safety and Governance focuses on interdisciplinary research across computer science, law, and ethics, with a core mission of preventing and managing potential risks posed by cutting-edge artificial intelligence. It conducts research on social governance related to AI technology development and application in key areas such as AI ethics, value alignment, and safety governance. The center aims to ensure that humanity researches, develops, and deploys intelligent technologies under the principles of safety, development, fairness, and justice, safeguarding the healthy growth of China’s AI sector. Additionally, it explores the application of AI in law and ethics, develops legal AI technologies, and creates scalable legal AI products to enhance social services, strongly supporting the strategic implementation of building a technology powerhouse in the new era.
