Dr. Yujia Peng joined the School of Psychological and Cognitive Sciences at Peking University as an assistant professor and doctoral advisor in 2021, co-hired by Institute for Artificial Intelligence at Peking University and Beijing Institute for General Artificial Intelligence. Dr. Peng received B.S. from the Department of Psychology at Peking University in 2014 and obtained her Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2019. Then, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher with Dr. Michelle Craske and Dr. Hakwan Lau at UCLA. Dr. Peng's research primarily focuses on computational psychiatry, specifically the mechanisms of anxiety disorders and depression, using an interdisciplinary approach combining behavioral experiments, neuroimaging, and computational modeling. Dr. Peng is also interested in social cognition and artificial intelligence research. Her research findings have been published in journals of Biological Psychiatry: Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuroimaging, Psychiatry Research, Psychological Science, Cognition, and Vision Research, etc. Dr. Peng received the Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program by CAST in 2021.
