Professor at the State Key Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning at Beijing Normal University and the IDG/McGovern Institute for Brain Research. Received a Ph.D. in Brain, Cognitive, and Behavioral Sciences from the Department of Psychology at Harvard University in 2006. Distinguished Changjiang Scholar Professor appointed by the Ministry of Education, Chief Scientist of the Youth Special Program of the "973" Project, recipient of the Excellent Young Scientist Fund from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Beike Scholar, Outstanding Young Talent from the Central Organization Department, and recipient of the New Century Excellent Talent Fund from the Ministry of Education. Awarded the Sackler Scholars Programme in Psychobiology and the Rising Star Award from the Association for Psychological Science. Serves as a director of the Beijing Neuroscience Society.
