Liwei Wang is a professor at Peking University and a part-time professor at Tsinghua University's Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences. He is a recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Fund and the first Asian scholar to be selected for AI's 10 to Watch. His research area focuses on machine learning theory. He has published over 100 papers in top conferences and journals in the field of machine learning. He has served as the program chair for renowned machine learning conferences such as NIPS/NeurIPS, ICML, and ICLR, and currently serves as an editorial board member for IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence.
