1985-1989: Studied in the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Peking University and obtained a bachelor's degree.
1989-1992: Continued studies in the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Peking University and obtained a master's degree.
1997-2001: Pursued doctoral studies in the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Peking University and obtained a Ph.D. degree.
2007, August - 2008, January: Visiting scholar at the Asia Center of Michigan State University in the United States.
2008, February - 2008, August: Visiting scholar at the Harvard-Yenching Institute of Harvard University in the United States.
2013, September - 2014, February: Visiting scholar at the Institute for Research in Classical Japanese Literature, Waseda University, Japan.
Has been teaching in the department since 1992.
