Research Achievements:
Runsheng Wang is a Professor and the Associate Dean of the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at Peking University. He also serves as the Director of the Design Automation and Computing Systems Department in the School of Integrated Circuits. He teaches two undergraduate foundation courses and one graduate professional course. He has led over 10 national-level projects, including the National Key Research and Development Program. His recent research focuses on micro/nano electronic devices and reliability, circuit-device co-design, and EDA technology, as well as stochastic/approximate/in-memory computing circuit design. He has published over 190 SCI/EI papers, including over 40 top conference papers in IEDM/VLSI. He has been invited to give more than 20 keynote speeches at international academic conferences organized by IEEE. He holds over 30 granted patents in China and over 10 granted patents in the United States. His achievements have been included in the International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductors (ITRS). He received the 2013 IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS) Early Career Award, becoming the first recipient from a non-U.S. institution to receive this award. He also received the First Prize of Natural Science from the Ministry of Education in 2014, the Excellent Young Scientist Fund from the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2015, and the National Distinguished Young Scientist Fund in 2021. He serves as an editorial board member for IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices dand the Science China Information Sciences (both Chinese and English editions), among other academic journals. He has also served as chair or committee member for more than 30 subcommittees at international academic conferences such as IEDM and IRPS. He has established deep collaborations with leading IC manufacturing, design, and EDA companies both domestically and internationally, and his research achievements have been successfully applied and commercialized.
