Dr. Yadong Mu is a researcher, tenured associate professor, and doctoral supervisor. He obtained his bachelor’s and Ph.D. degrees in Science from Peking University. He has held research positions at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, Columbia University in the United States, Huawei Noah's Ark Lab in Hong Kong, and AT&T Labs in the United States. His main research areas include computer vision and machine learning. He has published over 70 papers in top international conferences and journals, including more than 40 papers in A-class conferences recommended by the Chinese Computer Society, such as CVPR, ICML, and NeurIPS, as well as IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence (T-PAMI). He has also filed nearly 20 PCT/US/China patents. He has received the first prize in Natural Science from Shaanxi Province and a Best Paper Nomination at the SIGIR international conference. His recent research work includes neural network design based on spectral analysis theory, machine learning from the perspective of differential equations, and video semantic analysis techniques.
