Dr. Yaodong Yang is an Assistant Professor (Ph.D. Supervisor) at the Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Peking University, and a Visiting Assistant Professor at King's College London. He focuses on game intelligence and decision-making technologies, with research areas including reinforcement learning, game theory, and multi-agent systems. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Science and Technology of China and obtained his master's degree from Imperial College London. He also holds a Ph.D. degree from University College London, with his dissertation being the sole nominee for the AAAI/ACM SIGAI Outstanding Dissertation Award. Before returning to China, he served as an Assistant Professor at King's College London and was selected for the UK Home Office's Exceptional Talent Scheme.

Dr. Yaodong Yang has published more than 70 papers at top AI conferences, including over 20 as the first/communicating author at NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, and other journals such as AIJ, NSR, JAAMAS, and TMLR. His work has received over 2,000 citations on Google Scholar. He has received several awards, including the Best Systems Paper Award at the Conference on Robot Learning (CoRL'20), the Most Visionary Paper Award at the International Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multi-Agent Systems (AAMAS'21), the Shining Star Award at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2022), the ACM SIGAI China Rising Star Award, and the Best Technical Breakthrough Award at Huawei London Research Institute.
