Dr. Ling Hu is an associate professor at Peking University Law School and has previously served as the vice dean of the Law School at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. He holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree from Peking University Law School and a Ph.D. from the Law School of the University of Hong Kong. He is also a director of the Comparative Law Research Association of the China Law Society, the vice president of the Foreign Law and Comparative Law Research Association of the Shanghai Law Society, and an executive director of the Yangpu District Law Society in Shanghai. He has published over 60 academic papers in both domestic and foreign journals, including "Legal Studies on Commerce" ,"Chinese and Foreign Law Studies", "Eastern Jurisprudence", "Jurist," and "China Quarterly." He has also published the book "Exploring the Political and Economic Origins of Internet Law" (2016). His research interests lie in legal theory and internet law, with a focus on observing and interpreting the internet as a means of production from a political and economic perspective. He explores how the internet, as a medium of information technology, has transformed production organization and relations, facilitated the mobility of production factors, and consequently required corresponding adjustments in legal superstructure to promote productivity and innovation.
