Professor Hai-Jun Wang is the Vice Dean of School of Public Health, Chair of Department of Maternal and Child Health in School of Public Health, Peking University. She is also the Chairman of Branch of Maternal and Child Health Standards, National Health Standards Committee; the Chairman of Obesity Prevention and Control Committee, Chinese Association for Student Nutrition & Health Promotion; the Vice Chairman of Branch of Early Life Development and Disease Prevention, Chinese Preventive Medicine Association; the Vice Chairman of Branch of Maternal and Child Health Care Information, Chinese Health Information and Big Data Association, etc.


She graduated from Beijing Medical University with the Bachelor degree of preventive medicine in 1995 and got Ph.D. degree in School of Public Health of Peking University in 2004. She has been working in School of Public Health, Peking University since 2004. She had been the visiting scholar in University of Marburg (Germany), Duisburg-Essen University (Germany), University of Queensland (Australia), Duke University (USA), John Hopkins University (USA).


She has undertaken many projects as a Principal Investigator in China, sponsored by National Key R&D Program of China, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Research Special Fund for Public Welfare of Health, Beijing Natural Science Foundation, China Medical Board, United Nations Population Fund, etc.


She has published more than 200 academic papers as the first or corresponding author, 110 of which in international journals, including JAMA Pediatrics, BMC Medicine, Environmental Health Perspectives, Environment International, etc. She published 7 books as editor-in-chief, and applied 3 utility model patents and 4 copyrights of computer software.


She has been awarded as a principal participant“the First Award of Scientific and technological Progress of Chinese Preventive Medicine Association”, “Song Qing-Ling Pediatric Medicine Award”, “The First Natural Science Award of Maternal and Child Health Science and Technology Award”,“The Third Award of Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award”, “the Third Award of Scientific and technological Progress of Chinese Preventive Medicine Association”, “the Third Award of Scientific and technological Progress in Beijing”, etc.
