Shi Boxin received his Bachelor's, Master's, and Ph.D. degrees in Engineering (Information Science and Technology) from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Peking University, and the University of Tokyo in 2007, 2010, and 2013, respectively. He is currently a researcher ("Boya Young Scholar") and Ph.D. supervisor at the Institute of Digital Media, Department of Computer Science, Peking University.
From 2013 to 2016, he conducted postdoctoral research at MIT Media Lab, Singapore University of Technology and Design, and Nanyang Technological University. In 2016-2017, he worked as a researcher at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology in Japan. He received the 2nd Best Paper Award at the 2015 International Conference on Computational Photography (ICCP). He serves as an editorial board member of the International Journal of Computer Vision (IJCV) and a field chair of the Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR).
