Biography

Xi Jianzhong, Professor at Peking University, National Distinguished Professor, Changjiang Scholar, and recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Fund. Chief scientist of key R&D projects and Vice Dean of the School of Future Technology at Peking University. Currently serves as Deputy Director of the Organoid and Organ Chip Branch of the Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering, Deputy Director of the Gene Detection Branch of the Chinese Society of Medical Biotechnology, Member of the Chemical Biology Professional Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society, Executive Member of the Biomedical Chip Branch of the Chinese Society of Medical Biotechnology, and Member of the Biomedical Measurement Branch of the Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering, among other positions. Reviewer for several internationally renowned journals such as Science, JACS, and Biomaterials. Has a strong educational and work background both domestically and internationally in fields such as chemistry, biology, and microelectronics processing, making him a rare leading talent in the field of frontier interdisciplinary research. Primarily engaged in the research and application of precision medicine for cancer, gene editing, and biochips. Achieved significant results in new drug targets, in vitro tumor models, and high-throughput functional screening. Published over 90 high-level academic papers in journals such as Nature, Nature Biotechnology, Nature Cell Biology, Nature Communications, and PNAS, and applied for 10 national invention patents, with 4 granted. Has led or participated in 17 national-level projects.
