Liu Jian-meng is a Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor (Epidemiology and Health Statistics) at the School of Public Health, Peking University. He serves as the Director of the Institute of Reproductive Health at Peking University, the Director of the Key Laboratory of Reproductive Health of the National Health Commission, the Director of the Office for National Maternal and Child Health Statistics of China, and the Editor-in-Chief of the Chinese Journal of Reproductive Health. His main research field is reproductive and perinatal epidemiology. He has led multiple projects funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Health Commission, international organizations, and other collaborative research projects. His research focuses on environmental exposure and nutrition in relation to women's and children's health, randomized controlled trials, population-based cohort studies, integrated use of multiple data sources for women's and children's health, and the impact of national health policies on women's and children's health. He teaches a graduate course on "Epidemiological Field Experiment (Randomized Controlled Trial)" and covers sections on epidemiology for undergraduate students. His research has resulted in more than 150 papers in peer-reviewed journals including JAMA, BMJ, JAMA Internal Medicine, CMAJ, Science Bulletin, et al.
