Li Hong-tian is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Reproductive and Child Health, Peking University, and a Ph.D. Supervisor (Epidemiology and Health Statistics) at the School of Public Health, Peking University. He is also the Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory of Reproductive Health of the National Health Commission, and the Executive Deputy Director of the Office for National Maternal and Child Health Statistics of China. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Medicine from Department of Preventive Medicine, North China Coal Medical College in 2006. He earned his Master's and Ph.D. degrees from the School of Public Health, Peking University in 2009 and 2016, respectively. He has received honors such as Outstanding Ph.D. Thesis at Peking University, Huang Tingfang/Xinhe Outstanding Young Scholar Award at Peking University, Beijing Outstanding Young Talent Backbone Individual, and National Advanced Individual in Maternal and Child Health Information Work. He teaches courses on "Epidemiology", "Epidemiological Field Experiment (Randomized Controlled Clinical Trials)", and "Introduction to SAS and Multivariate Statistical Analysis" for undergraduate and postgraduate students. His research has resulted in more than 30 papers in peer-reviewed journals including JAMA, BMJ, Science Bulletin, et al.
