Overview:
The Center for AGI-Chips focuses on the new requirements posed by artificial intelligence for chip computing power and energy consumption. It conducts cutting-edge research on the next generation of brain-inspired chips. The key research directions include high-precision neural morphological devices, brain-inspired neural network models, learning algorithms, neural network circuit architectures, chip design methods, brain-inspired chip toolchains, and brain-inspired chip applications for cloud/edge/endpoint scenarios. The center is composed of renowned academicians, experts, and young talents in the field of brain-inspired chips. It undertakes multiple major and key research projects in the field of brain-inspired chips funded by the national government. The research achievements are published in authoritative journals such as Nature Electronics, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, and presented at flagship conferences such as IEDM, ISSCC, VLSI, etc. The center attaches great importance to talent cultivation in the fields of artificial intelligence, integrated circuits, and chip design for the future. It actively engages in horizontal cooperation with enterprises and international academic exchanges. The research outcomes will support a series of new applications in artificial intelligence for different scenarios including cloud, edge, and endpoint, and empower various fields such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things.
